Work that 60' down to the low 1.6's and you should be running 11.7's
Would be nice if you ran in a little colder temps also, one advantage of being up north 45* runs Get a 20-30 boost guage also Congrats...

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
I was running 1.64 - 1.65 60's untill the last two passes. Track was hooking hard untill an few Hondas did their job. I am just happy to get the 11's. BGN8711 Trust me it can be done with less and a lot less at that. But I have basically a $11k car with a 2K tranny and a $400 alky kit and about $40 in race gas. So for $13,440 you can run 11's but tunning is a big factor, and I suck at it.

Good job on getting into the 11's.
Go get a F'n 20 to 30 psi boost gauge before you blow some thing up. Now I'll tell you a little story. The first time to the track with my TTA I went 12.5x, the next time I went 12.04, No damn 11.xx, The third time I went, still on the same set up, I rolled the car off the trailer and went 11.30. Not one change in set up, I didnt 60' any better, nothing. All I did was pull some fuel out of it and got my o2's out of the .780 to .810 range like your in, and got them down into the .720 to .760 range. Now I also dropped the boost down two pounds later on that day and went 11.6x. So at 2 pounds less boost I ran 11.6x instead of 12.5x. Getting the fuel right and finding out what the car likes makes a huge difference. Now your post shows 0 degrees KR. start pulling some of that fuel out. Keep a close eye on KR I dont like any thing higher than 0 but a few guys say they'll go a bit faster if they see a few degrees. Anyway you should see the car pick up as you pull fuel out. Where you running alky and race fuel at the same time? Ive never had any luck with that. I'm just guessing but maybe 100 octane no lead and alky may work decent but 116 and 118 octane fuels and alky dont seam to work. What rpm are you shifting at? I have recently talked to two ported head/ stock cam guys. They both where shifting thier cars in the 5400 to 5600 rpm range. My car really likes 5100 to 5200. Now My car and these other cars where all running an art carr 16930 9" n/l convertor. I bring that up because as rpms go up conv slippage goes down. So did we run faster d/t the motor liked it better or because the conv slipped less? You might want to look into your shift points. I picked up 2 mph when I raised mine. Also are you locking your convertor when you make a run? Picked a new goal yet? I think if you look into a few things and address them you should be able to get to the point where an 11.9x is an off run. Jason

Yeah the temp got too hot and line too long to fix the fuel problem. I am going back on the 31 to try for a better et, and hope for more MPH. I let the car shift at like 5200 or what ever it does it at haven't really looked all that hard. maybe I should.
Car was on c-16 maybe I should mix it down?? Well I hope to get thing figured out on the street later this week so the track will be cake, also have a run with a spraying LS1 with a ZO6 cam this weekend so that will be intresting....

You should run that number on pump gas w/alky by itself.. no problemo.
Ditch the race gas.. lets get the car dialed in on alky.. it will out do anything you throw at it. Actually on alky you'll kill that LSI..just watch those cars on heavy spray..they pull really strong on the top. If it has heads, cam, and like a 150 shot.. they pull like a mofo unless they pop..which often they do. A local guy here has a Vette, ran 11.30's at 122.. I got hime on the bridge and from a 40-125 , we were 100 % dead even. Lots of juice on that car. Cam and headers.. you'll pull on them. Just have to get your tune in the rite range. Hey its work.. take the 11's anyway you can get them. Cheers.. Julio

Do you really think I would be ok trying to run that much boost on just alky?
I guess I am just a little scared, don't want to be telling the LS1 guys that they will pop soon then popping my self you know. Well I guess I will give it a shot... Give me any and all advice ..... Thanks Hunter

Dude.. I was at 27 PSI today at least 5 times.. nothing majical, just start with a low timing chip and work your way up. I was demo'ing the car to a customer.. I like demo rides..
Wanna great chip.. get in touch with Eric@turbotweak.com, he'll get you pointed in the rite direction. get him some DS runs recorded, have him make a correction..take it from there. The Extenders chips also work pretty good. Depends if you run a stock MAF or a translator. Do this..get your street chip and put it to 20 PSI, get that to run zero retard.. up the boost to 23.. see what happens.. up it to 26 see what happens.. dont have to touch my box once you get your 20 PSI figured out..it automatically ups the spray. First is get the 20 dialed in. You'll be blowing 25+ everywhere. Assumming tranny, tires, and car is pointed straight Watch your O2's and get them into the 770 range.. then start cranking down on the rod..I wouldnt start with a race timing chip.. those can be very aggressive on some cars. Start with like a 20-22 degree chip..and work it from there.. You'll see 730's for o2's and 26-28 PSI..that sucker will pull like a raped ape. Believe.. just believe.. you can do it Alkycontrol does not condone the raping of apes ![]()
