Thanks for the compliments guys! It's not that hard to clean up your engine bay! Little soap and water and chrome makes it all new! Here is how my engine looked a little over a year ago!

So you haven't had a chance to run that GT35 to see how it spools? Let us know what you think. I just finished testing a GT35R with the TE compressor housing and with a .63 exhuast housing it was a slug and did not controll boost below 19-20#. I also tried a redesigned .85 housing, it took a while to get to 10# (convertor may have been too tight, 2700) but once it hit 10 it went to 20# in a flash and would burn the tires off at 50-60 mph, but still could not control boost much below 19#s.

Is this turbo still using the Dual Ball Bearing center section?

If it is using the GT35R compressor wheel, it is the same as the GT61/PT61.

What exhaust wheel were you using?

It was a GT3560 experimental non-BB. It may have worked alot differently with a much looser convertor than a 2700. Once it hit 10-12# it would fly, just was a pig getting there, even at 40-50mph cruise speeds.

Well I got it out today to play a little with it. I just called Quad air and got a new chip for the new set up but it's nice. It's spooling just about as quick as a stocker! I have a 2800 stall and it might be to low. When I boosted it up for a launch.. I would get to one pound of boost and it would melt my 275/60-15 Nitto's like nothing. So I took off at one pound and it comes out real nice and strong 17lbs of boost no knock! Other then same fake knock.. my downpipe is hitting the frame I think a little. Guess I'll have to start heating the tires up first. Nice smooth snappy hard launch. I can hear the car creaking like crazy when boosting it up! I never heard that before. And I have all the possible braces! Well this is the fun part IMO.. get to play around now and learn and enjoy it more! That's why I waited til the fall. Nice and cool for turbo Buicks I guess I'll wait til I get this new chip and see how it acts! More updates to come!
