4 LANE Dragstrips?

I remember as a kid in the 60's reading some HOT car magazine.

Saw a photo of a 4 lane drag strip..

Was there ever such a beast in the USA or maybe some other country?


(TO THINK OF IT that would be cool way to get off a lot of races at crowded tracks)

The Las Vegas track was to be 4 lanes. But, I heard from someone that NHRA wouldn't allow Bruton (the owner) to do it.

They have them everywhere!!

It depends on what time of night it is... they're called Interstates.

LOL thats funny...

I remember an old timer at work talking about a four lane
drag strip here in Illinois, I think it was called Byron dragway.
That could get pretty crazy with four cars at the same time.

Byron is wide, its been atleast 3 years since ive been there, it prolly could be used a 4 lanes... hmmm
