Ok everyone what are your predictions? Im going for GSP, Florian, and I guess Lessner (but really dont care). This Fitch guy appears to be no joke. I hope GSP fights smart.

Your picks are solid. I'm not impressed with Lesnar or Herring. Fitch is a tough dude..might boil down to conditioning. I think Florian/Huerta will be the best fight and toughest to call.

I'm gonna miss it.going to the Jag game.

I'll take GSP, Florian and Lesnar. I'm not to sure on Lesnar but I would like to see him win. Herring has alot of experience.

A great fight card for sure! Going for GSP, Huerta, and Lesnar. I think both the GSP/Fitch and Florian/Huerta fights are going to be good and are really tough to call. But GSP and more recently Huerta have been favorites of mine so I'm sticking with them.

I will take GSP, Herring( if it goes longer then 2 rounds, big guys tend to gas out quick when they are muscular) and Huerta (this kid has tremendous heart, one of my favorites).

If Herring decides to stand up and bang Lesnar will win by KO. Don't think Lesnar is going to allow himself to get submited this time if he does his MMA carrer is over.. Agree with Robsiron about the Huerta/Florian bout it ought to be a good one. It ought to be on par with the California kid VS Jens Pulver fight..Huerta is one tough game fighter but I think Florian has better submission and ground game, a tough decision 2 good dogs but I have to go with Florian. Huerta has given up his back a few times in past bouts and barely got out by the hair of his chinny chin chin, he better not offer it up to Florian because Florian will capitalize with a RNCH. Don't like GSR but he should win.

Lesnar had a crazy punch that knocked KH on his ass and followed up with a Football tackle when he was on the ground. The question I have is, if Brock is a good wrestler, why didn't he choke hime out when he had 5 opportunities of taking his back? Still a goood win for him. He is legitimate thats for sure.

That's what I was wondering too. Also he had a couple of full mounts on Herring and he didn't really do a whole lot of damage, and Herring appeared to get out of them with relative ease. I think though with more time and experience on the ground Lesnar will be a terror....dudes already pretty quick for his size.

It was easy to get his back, because herring was constantly squirming out of the mount. But doing a rear naked choke is a lot easier said than done, lesnar would have to get hooks in (which he could not successfully do) then roll herring, and try to get his arms away from his head to sink in the choke.
If lesnar got up to a purple belt (or even black belt after time) in BJJ, and some better muay thai and stand up skills, he would be unstoppable.

I would have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. herring is a damn good fighter with lots of Octagon experience. He finished beating Check Congo which is no easy feat (remember what he did to Crocop), almost beat Norgara(mental lapse on that one). The thing that impressed me with Lesnar was his cardio. He did not look gased which suprised me for someone of his size and muscular mass. Anderi would be in trouble. 265 pounds with his speed is going to be very difficult. Andrei is a good fighter, but does not have the strength IMO to hurt someone of Brocks size/mass. Its gonna take a grapler to win against Brock with a submission move. I really can't see a smaller stand up guy taking him out with punches. I would actually like to see him fight Tim Silvia because they match up well in size. I think Randy would also be in trouble against Brock because he is a ground and pound guy, not a submission expert, and Brock is a very big boy that moves incredibly quick. Once Brock takes him down, the only way Randy would get up, is when the bell rang to end the round.
Another kicker is, Andrei signed with another organization and I highly doubt you will ever see Randy fight in theUFC again. There is a dirty legal war going on between the 2 parties.

Mike,

Please don't bring up Congo's win over Mirko as a positive or Congo.
He took a fighter with a broken rib and 5 illegal groin shots to a decision...
If Mirko leaves Dream and I hope he does, I would love to see a rematch.

Now back on subject LOL
I am not sure what to make of Brock yet.
However I was impressed by his improvement and I am blown away by his physical tools.

Anyway I am coming over to your house for the next Affliction show!
