they arent... this sh!t is crazy - these price gouging muthersuckers are gonna drive everybody to a "mad max state" - you wonder why crime and bank robberies are goin up...hell people cant afford to live... how are the working class and minimum wage people s'posed to live when they barely make enough to cover travel expenses and insurance - add a mortgage and family and - i guess they wont pay attention until someone gets so fed up they do "something" terrible

The truckers tried boycotting fuel prices and parked along the expressway.I believe it was chicago. state troopers gave them all a $75.00 ticket.
Isn't diesel the byproduct of gasoline? Because it is in demand they jack the price. I was at work when the driver handed in the bill for the fuel for 300 gallons $1,320. holy crap.

I filled up (Yeah $75.00 is when the pump shuts off) Friday for $4.19. Tuesday, $4.55 and it's up to $4.79 at some stations. It's a freaking joke. $1.49/gal when I got my truck in 03 and it's up 3x as much now and the roads are not even as close to as busy as they were here a few years ago. It's B.S. I really feel bad for those who don't make a lot of money and are struggling to drive to the grocery store let alone work.

Wow, I did not realize diesel was that cheap only a few years back. I remember it being cheap but not that cheap. It's $4.60 here is some areas and probably more in others. I can't imagine how these owner/operator truck drivers survive.

Sounds like filtering, refining and the ULSD diesel are all reasons they are going to claim diesel needs to be jacked up right now.

Let's hope the Saudies release some of that stockpiled gas before winter or you guys are probably going to move into the town that Willie Nelsons friend has the biodiesel station in.

My brother had to sell his three big rigs and walk. Closed shop and gave it up. He's driving for a heavy equipment rental place making half of what he was a couple years ago. Sad.

when more & more of the truckers that do not know how to run a business, go out of business, that is helping to drive up rates. I also broker some loads that I can not get to, 1 month ago I was paying other trucks about $1.75 per mile for flatbed loads, this week I've been paying about $2.50 per mile.

When i bought my house ~5 years ago. i think gas was around $1.25-1.30. and diesel USED to actually be cheaper than gasoline.....

My fuel bill is up to 4 thousand dollars a week! I have no choice but to pass the cost along to my customers. I am not even trying to make money with the wrecker service anymore, just trying to keep from losing money!

Amen bud! I have started using my wrecker for MY work only. No more favors, can't afford it!

Ted, I remember when I bought mine in 05. Fuel was under $2 a gallon, may have been 1.99 but still cheaper than gas. That was my reason for buying the diesel...

Most of the working vehicles in this country are diesel, from the buses to the ambulances... Kinda of sick'ening to me....

Carl's Corner, TX - right next to the Whiskey River Saloon.

This will come to a head very soon. The CB traffic regarding this subject is depressing.

I know what you mean!! I had to park my Excrusion. The money it would cost in diesel for my daily commute is enough to make my new car payments!

Guys..........just think how high gas can go if ANYTHING happens in the Middle Eastern oil producing states. And i'm not talking about Iraq either. They've got us by the *alls and they know it. I was surfing the BBC website a few days ago and they were talking about how Americans are complaning about there 'cheap' gas prices!!: Guess it is compared to what there paying......amost $9.00 a gallon!!
