I'm doing a hot air > intercooled conversion, so yesterday I took the intake and plenum to a machine shop to get bead blasted. Soon I get to start buying LOTS of nuts & bolts.
Good thing I work at Lowe's! 10% off baby! This weekend I'll start doing some sensor shopping, so far it's looking like Kirban has some of the least expensive stuff; but I need all the sensors that go in the intake, I think I need the MAT and the MAP (why do our cars have a MAF and a MAP? Doesn't this seem a little redundant?). Bah! Stupid computers! ![]()

Well my friend finally got the 82 body and frame out of my driveway, and got the frame for the 86 blocked up and i now got the start on the front spindals here the picks. I only got to work on it for a short time. Had to fix the brakes on the jeep for the wife got to keep her happy.

installed a TA differential cover and switched out the stock bolts on the bearing caps to studs............ oh and more importantly I DROVE IT!!!

Finished my 3.5" downpipe install, had to make my own cap thanks SAMBALLLLLLS. Finished hooking up the 36mm front sway bar. A friend happened to stop by and finally went out and drove it! Once that new turbo spools up it takes off! Didn't really test it out because the brake pedal is spongy after installing LS1 front brakes. Might take it to work on my day off and bleed the system real good.
Cleaned off 6 months of garage dust and smudges from working on it, and put it away. |

Did a compression test. 5 cylinders 135-140, 1 cylinder 20
Looks like the heads are coming off again! Really thinking of going back stock.

Couple of buds and I pulled my trans out to send back to the "Builder" to fix it.
Freakin 3 second delay on the 3-2 on the manual or WOT kickdown. And soft shifts and flare on every gear. I'm just a lil heated considering it had 1875 miles on it and the fluid was smoked and had shavings in the pan. Oh yeah the 3-4 accum was in upside down as well.It is a supporting vendor on the boards and how well that individual honors the "fix/go back through it" will entail my feedback on his servic. So far its Poor and I going to be out several hundred dollars on the shipping alone.

Pulled the pan again last night to look at the VB a lil closer and it has a CZ valve body in it even though I was charged $350 for a BRF core. Yeah I know the CZ will work its just the BRF charge and principle

I washed mine this morning before I left work, 2am nice and cool. no water spots
even shined up the tires. did a bit more tuneing on the way home. 21 psi top if 3rd ,0 knock and lots of power ![]()

Took it to work so I could use a lift and make my life easier. Oil change, UMI tubular rear control arms, 1 3/8 rear sway bar, and poly body bushings. It was a long day. Body bushings are not going on my list of "fun" things to do.
