Lost my job

As of about 5:45 today, I lost my job.

I was using that money to save for my GN. And now I am back in the position I was before. Sure, I'm much closer than I was before to getting my Grand National, however, I now have no way to get any money.

Basically the boss was a jerk and told me he wanted me to work 10 hours near the end of my 8 hour day. I said no and he fired me because I left at the time I was allocated. (He disliked me earlier and was waiting for a chance to fire me)

So anyway, a bunch of other people at my job are quitting tommorow and one of them (A good friend of mine) has told me he has a job with a group of people. Apparently, this company sends people into abandoned buildings, they round up trash, etc, and they pull it out and throw it into dumpster trucks or something like that. The pay is great, 12/hour.

It really sucked though, my former boss kept insulting me while I was on the phone as he told me he was firing me. Wonderful eh? I told him I'd be in tommorow and next Friday to pick up my last paychecks.

That's how it is most days at my shop. I'll be trying to go home and we'll get more work and they'll try to make me feel guilty and get me to stay. Some nights I give in and work longer but I've been telling them if they need people to work late then they need to put me on the later shift, I'm not going to work my normal day shift AND bail them out every time it gets busy at night. Asking people to work late when they're ten minutes away from going home and relaxing isn't a good idea.

Sounds like you'll land on your feet and potentially get that other job right away so maybe this happened for a reason.

I hope to god I get that job.
Because when I start working I'll be getting 40 hours a week.
I'll have over 4 G's by September!

Sounds like I'll have my Grand National earlier than I thought if I get that job.

Still though. Reality bites... It bites really hard.

Was kinda 'in shock' for the first hour ater losing the job.

I just gotta refocuse and aim at getting this money.
