Update on my winter project

I did a lot of work with the help of Tom Shea this winter to my GN.

Here are a few pics of the work.

One piece airdam from an 84 GN

The intercooler pipes that came with my intercooler. Basically a friend made the piping and will tell you he is a mechanic, not a welder. With the less than pretty welds and the even crapier paint that came off on your hands I decided to get them painted.

Before,

After,

The intercooler,

I did a lot of work that I could basically write a book about. A lot of the stuff in my sig is now outdated while other stuff was just added.

I decided to move away from the MAFTPro and LC-1 setup I had and go with a FAST system.

Getting things back together.

Done, for now, sort of.

Learning FAST is both intimidating and exciting. I cant wait to tune my car.

It really never is enough. We took it out last night to do a little tuning but it was fruitless. I screwed up my battery by arcing two wires which in turn blew up my alternator. My alternator was drawing only 11 volts so any time we tried to go WOT the thing went leeaaannnn like 16:1 lean with a bunch of detonation and I think 28 PSI of boost.

Two things learned: I need a battery and alternator which I will get this weekend. Also, I need a lot larger injectors which I will probably pick up in BG.
