Anyone here own a Chevy HHR..

Looking for some input on the HHR. Problem areas, how it rides, true gas mileage. Anything you can offer about it would be great.
Thanks

My mom has one. I've driven it a few times. She says it gets upwards of 30 mpg and I thought that was pretty good. I drove it from Arlington to Houston and back. Just the wife and me when we left the squids and the burb with her for a week last summer. I thought it rode well on the trip. Plenty of room for the wife and me. Has room behind the rear seat for the bags. The back seats fold down to to increase cargo capacity. It has a moonroof and that was pretty nice. I really like the headliner material in it. I was thinking of trying to get that material for the Regal but haven't persued it yet. The window are kind of short, kind of like the top is chopped. The head room didn't seem to suffer from it though. I'm 6'2". It does sit low, but I'm used to the Suburban K2500 and it sits pretty high.

Any other questions?

Boardwalk Ferrari (Dallas/Plano) has one as a prts runner. It has a blower on it. My uncle is the senior manager/Tech of the racing team. Other than being but ugly, it has had no issues.

I kind of like the looks of them, personally... Alot better than the PT Cruiser, IMO... I thought about looking at one in a few years since the gas mileage is said to be so good. My Grand Cherokee is killing me in gas anymore...

I want to buy one for the wife. We have rented them on the weekends and the only complaint I have is that they need some power. Get the LT with the 174HP 2.4 Ecotec. I sell to all of the rental car fleets down here and the only real issue is the shifter. No big deal as the replacement parts are better than the original. I want to get the cargo version since we dont have to haul around any kids. Maybe stuff in a supercharged 2.0 from a Cobalt SS in the future.
