if I remember right it was mentioned that it will be raised in a little while. I think we just moved to a new server which is obviously running a lot better and it'll be able to handle more.

At the same time that you are whining for more, I think that we should be thankful for what we have. This board has improved a lot over the last year or so. It seems to me that I can remember when nobody could post pics. I am sure that the Shane & the admins will continually improve what they can when they can. The increase in membership #'s is an indication that they are doing something in the right direction.

I have been here for many yrs, like most here(member since the crash),my concern is speed and storage, pics are the last on my list .....my pm's are full and that is cause i have bought many parts and have not recieved them so i am saving the pm till then ,98% most time so I need to watch it when I loose PM space, but this is fcking stupid/crazy,,10,000 stop and think for a second...10,000,yes read again 10,000.....
wtf i have 100...to me the speed of the board has always been super fast,so thanks for that....

Okay, my needs are different, as I probably don't buy the quantity of parts that you do, but I like the pictures. Maybe if you posted this in the site/forum suggestion thread area it might get their attention quicker. I am sure that they will do what they can.

A few other boards have 50 as a limit as well. When it keeps all that are sent as well, 50 fills up fast. I do the same thing, keep PMs for parts I'm buying or selling but lately I've been communicating with people thru their registered email so I don't have to worry about it. The mods of most boards, not just this one probably limit it so that people don't start using it like their email account since its free to be a member, and to increase PM space costs money somewhere down the line. Camaroz28.com doesn't even allow pics to be stored on their site, you can post pics only if they are hosted somewhere else, of course their membership is 10x what TBs is.

Dennis - I'll make a suggestion to increase the number of stored PM's.

I think we can all agree that it would be unnecessary for anyone to have a 10,000 PM limit.

Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanuka or whatever other holiday you subscribe to.

I'm not going to go to 200 but hopefully doubling the old capacity will be enough for now.

We plan to (at some point) have another usergroup for people who have asked about making donations to cover expenses, those people will likely get somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-500 PM capacity.

Jay, make sure you put a post about how to donate. I would be glad to donate something.

Thanks a bunch. Yeah a special group for people who support the site sounds good. I know on some forums it's like $10-20/yr and you get a little emblem by your name saying you support the site a couple little extra things.

Thats probably a few months away. When the time comes, we'll have a DONATE button at the top like we do on T6P.

Thanks!

One of the boards I'm a member of, only allows 1 pm period! In order to pm someone or receive a pm you must have zero pm's stored as well.
