It's time for me to crap or get off the pot with all this S2 stuff I have.
Being in the Military I wouldn't be able to travel to the few TSO there are and every set of track rules I have read treat the Buick V6 the same as a SBC for weight purposes. I "think" for about the same money I could build a turbo SBC and not have to push it as hard to run the same times, thus being more reliable. I beleive the car would have been competitive in TSO with Kibblers top end and a T5 Y2K-88 turbo but the chances of me being able to make a TSO race in the next 3-4 years are slim and none. Hopefully I could still use the turbo on a SBC. Flame suit on.

Burn...you will burn
More power, less money, better parts availability, better reliability....I didn't have to think about it long. 50+ 5 second 1/8 mile passes with no mechanical engine problems. Last weekend on what could be an 87 octane tune I went a 6.06 at 123mph in the 1/8th peddling one time. 21 degrees of timing and 14# of boost The Y2k will still make 1100 or more on a SBC, if you want to push it higher the exhaust will be too small for the extra ci.

I am surprised you can compete in a Buick event with a non-Buick drivetrain. A Buick V8 should be ok though.
