failed emissions with my TA

hey guys i just failed emissions wiht my trans am...I took the MAF the other day to clean all the stuff out because there was bugs in it. and then the service liight is on. The code that came up is for my MAF. What should i do?

Try to disconnect your battery for 15 min. to clear the code. If that don't work replace it.

i am a freakin idoit...i just forgot to plug the connector back in when i was done. i feel retarted.
