Current GN Purchases

Is it me or has there been an influx of threads about people just purchasing their GN and it sh---t’n the bed? It seems like in the last month there has been about 5 or 6 threads (one just posted yesterday) where people purchase the car and then within a day or so the thing in dead. What gives?

I’m hoping people (sellers) are not just dumping their problems to unknowing buyers just because of the increase GN value.

“Buyer-be-where” is a factor but, as we all know, these cars can hide a problem very well.

To people looking for a GN: Read up on this board, ask questions and if anything looks suspicious pass.

I just bought a GN last week and so far no major problems (yet). It has a few minor flaws but I wasn't looking to buy a mint show car neither. And you're absolutely correct about doing research before buying. Look at how many posts I have and when I registered on this site. I spent a lot of time doing searches and has saved me a lot of frustration and asking questions.

These cars are close to 20 yrs old and raced, I am happy mine starts. Hoping to make it through the winter season before the engine rebuild.

I bought mine from Jim (VSix on this board), after some routine maintenance I drove out to Salem, OH for BPG and back as a shakedown run. Now it's time to mod it and see how much she'll take
