New personal 1/8 mile best
I don't mean to make a production out of this but I am so happy right now.
I have arrived at my goal. I bought my GN new in 1986 and we have had our ups and downs. The honeymoon was in 1987 when I was destroying the competion on 16#boost going only 8.8 in the 1/8 mile. The bad times were when I let the GN sit for a year because I was too lazy to change the starter motor. Then I found the Brotherhood. Gnttype and turbobuick. I set some goals 2 years ago. I wanted my old buick to run in the 11's. It has been a rocky road with many times I felt like giving up over the last 2 years.. I have no one to help me work on the car and when times got ruff I turned to the Brotherhood. Today was payday. I went to the drags with my wife. She drove the new 05 GTO and I the 86 GN. I have been so close to the 11's but never touched them. I figured I needed to run a 7.5 in the 1/8 and still be pulling like a locomotive to be sure I could touch the 11's. My best time before was a 7.7X So I knew I needed some tune. First pass : 26.5 # boost Pro light, no boost off the line, 2.121 8.324 86.61 2nd Pass I gave the MT ET DR some heat and some boost off the line. 2nd Pass 1.889 7.883 91.60 Took out some top end fuel added low end fuel. 3rd pass No changes just ran again 1,747 7.701 91.40 4th Run I was disgusted and was ready to head for home. I turned the wastegate rod a couple of turns and tried again. 28#'s boost, added 2 degress timing on the TRans+ My MT DR were pretty well gone with just shy of 800 miles on them so I said what the hell, and pulled a 20 second burnout from hell. I power brake hard and left on about 8 # boost. 1.587 7.372 93.83 I know that was an 11 second run because it was pulling harder in 3rd than 1st or second. I was going to call it quits but something inside me said I needed a backup run to match. 5th Run No changes 1.581 7.343 93.86 Two years of weekend labor, just me and my GN and I did it. A solid 11 second Street car on 93 Octane. I would not and could not have done this alone without the help of: GNTTYPE Turbobuick (The Brotherhood) PTS Transmissions Ramchargers Fullthrottle speed RacetroniX G-Body Agressive Perf Jack Cotton ATR Race Jace Razor + his Pac Magic! I used the Sponsers from this site because I knew without them there would be no 11 sec GN's . Thank you all for all your hard work, inovation of your producs, your love for these cars, and most of all for my 11 second GN.

Cold85,
I walked over and talked to him. He is a member of Turbobuick. He told me his member name but it was so loud at the track that all I got was KCsomething. That GN was sick. He was letting off at half track and still running 7.0. Here is a picture of his first run. Thanks guys for the encouragement!!!

Yes that was me.I had to get off the gas after to 330 because I dont have a roll bar.I did have my best 60ft on the last run 1.47.I ran .15 second faster on that run at the 330 than my best 10.66 in the 1/4!

Good times and on pump gas to boot! Congratulations!
Now you just need some slick, a high boost launch, and you can gun for the 6's!

Craig,
You launched ahead of me on your first run, and I do mean "launched". It look awesome. I was wondering why you were letting off. Didn't know about the rolll bar. Good luck with that monster!
