I was on my to the bar with some friends last night and saw a Gn. Just wondering if it is anybodies from TurboBuick. It was at the Village of East Davenport parked on Jersey Ridge. It had black fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror. Anybodies??? ---Jeremy

Perhaps it was YGETV8 from the board here. I am not sure if he would sport the fuzzy dice, and I believe that his car is a WE4.

No, I know Jay very well. He wouldn't drive that car to the bars!!! HAHA!! I know most people in the area with a GN but I've never seen this one. I was going to leave a note on the car but my buddies were in a hurry to meet up with some other people. Now Im kind of bummed out that I didn't. Its nice to meet more people with these cars. -----Jeremy

There are two or three that I know of in/around Bettendorf.

I had an 87 Turbo T up until last summer. Jay is the man! Helped me out a ton. (and scared the crap out of me with "joy rides" in his WE4 and Cobra)

Sounds like your GN is really nice!

The other GN's I have seen around look mostly like "fixer uppers".

Yeah, most of them are fixer uppers that are around here. Salt is a deadly thing in the midwest. I should have put a note on that car. Now Im shooting myself because I didn't. DKREDT--- Do you know Tony (ONEFASTGN)? He lives over in Coal Valley. He has a rall;y cool 87. Its got a roll cage and about as much chrome under the hood as you could possibly fit. I think his car is running 10's now. We all met up for last years Blackhawk college car show. I think we had 7 or 9 GN's there. That usually doesn't happen around here very often. Thanks for the compliment on my car. Jays and Tony's are much nicer than mine though. Those guys really know their stuff. Where did you hear about my car?? -----Jeremy

Could everybody send me an email? If everybody could list their names and numbers, I will make a listing here. Also, give me a brief description of your car so I can identify you! When the shows start to come around, which is soon, I will get ahold of everybody to see if they want to meet for a couple. It was really cool last year when we had all the Nationals lined up. We really took the show. Everybody was surrounding our cars and would say things like -"Ive never seen this many GN's" or "Wow, these things are so rare, you never see these things on the road!!" Anyways, it would be cool to do that a couple times this year. Also we could have a meet at one of the parks. Do some grilling, beer drinking, and BS'ing. I went to a few meets for DSL cars up in Chicago and its really neat to meet people from across the country and see their cars-get some new tricks to the trade. Plus, we really only know each other by our screen names!! My e-mail is jdpolzin@yahoo.com. thanks ------Jeremy

Former GN owner here. I spend most of my time now at the Geo Metro speed meets.

I went to the Dwyer & Michaels show last yeat with the Metro and parked beside Jay's WE4, it is very, very nice. Car will be better looking this year, I promise.

Nice to see you're still around Bo, I'm keeping JD going for your uncle.

I'll be there if at all possible. A couple of years ago, there were about 4 of us out at Cordova on a weeknight. Very few people there besides us. Lots of fun.

There is always the BOP event at Cordova also. Last year we were fortunate to have a good sized contingent come down from Chicago and race.

I used to spend a lot of time at Cordova back in the day. I've heard they've made a ton of improvements. Back in the late eighties it was all grass pits and gravel staging lanes.

Not all grass pits anymore. There are concrete lanes going up and down the pits. The staging lanes are all concrete. They've held
