Who would win. Nova or GN
My buddy wants to race me for some money in the spring. He has a 64 Nova that will be in the low 14's high 13's. I have a mid to low 11 second GN. He wants a 4 second head start then I'd hit it. He wants me on street tires but I want to run slicks. Who do you think would win if he got the 4 sec. head start?

Boy, thats some pretty simple math! He'd dust you man. Better bet is to give him the jump or a few car lengths. But if he runs 14 flat to your 11 flat even thats only 3 seconds difference. A 2 second handicap sounds fair.

This is a no brainer.
If he can do 13.9 then you have to be able to do 9.8 or quicker to win, if you give him a 4 sec advantage. According to you, your car is a mid to low 11.

What's the point? What is he trying to prove by throwing multiple disadvantages to you..that he can beat you in an unfair fight.
At least he didn't ask you to run him in reverse. Silly and a waste of your time IMO. Tell him to put a real motor in his car and then talk to you.

That sounds like some import crap to me. Im sure a 64 Nova weighs less than your car and he has two more cylinders than you so he shouldn't get any advantage! Tell him not to bring a knife to a gun fight and if he wants to bracket race they have a class for him to race in.
If it was for fun I MIGHT do it, but for money I am going on full KILL !!

yeah, I agree there's no use racing him under those conditions, it sounds rediculious to me. It's a waste of your gas, tires, wear on your car and it's probably so that he can have bragging rights to have beaten you. If I raced someone and they gave me all those advantages I'd better be hustling them!
