Jeep or Regal

You know it's bad when your pimp rims require steeper gears just to get the car moving. I had a malibu 81' 2.56 rear

Lol... I had an '81 regal that I put a 327 into about 12 years ago. It ran great, but was a total slug off the line, I'm wondering if I had 2.56's in it too, lol.

Never did check. I was trying to find a GN rear for in it, but decided to wreck it before I had the chance to look

and people wonder why i don't like regals all that much. thats what everyone THINKS they should look like.

a diesel vin huh? i don't know why, but i'm thinking when you go get emissions on it and they run the vin and see that this regal looks nothing like a kenworth someone just might ask some questions.

super stank head rests, i have to get those

I think some of the regals cutlasses and montes had a diesel engine option, I'm trying to find a chevette with a diesel so I can throw a 355 in it and try to mow down some trees.

Yes the VIN does check out and the original motor was the Olds 350 diesel. I used to have a freind in the muffler/exhaust business and one thing he told me was that he could do anything and everything to a vehicle if it was a diesel, had a diesel VIN or said diesel fuel on the fuel gauge. Something about certain loopholes in the emissions laws, or at least if he got caught he could plead ignorance and get away with a slap on the hand.

so did it really run on diesel, or was it a way to get around emissions?

i've never heard of anything like that. makes me want one.

Buddy of mine had a '79 Cutlass that was originally a diesel. He ripped it out and put a 403 olds motor in it. That car would scoot...

Lol, so do I ... On my second one actually. I love the things, but you have to admit that they're a really popular car to get overly pimped
