Go to your bank and set up a specific account to use for the transfer? Just keep the minimum deposit there and don't use it for anything else.
Just an idea. Sounds kind of shady. Try the above and see if he comes thru... Joel |

the 1st guy to email me with all these stupid questions which he could have gotten answers if he read the ADD & TERMS. He basically put the cart before the horse telling me how serious he was bla bla.. I had answered back most questions could be answered in the add. He was from Chi town.. Was he ever rude after that. telling me I lost a sale BLA BLA BLA.. Whatever dude I wasn't going to Kiss his Azz just for the sale.. 50% ebayers are BLOWHARDS

I've sold several on eBay and I agree with littlestevesix. You set the terms, not the buyer. It doesn't hurt to be a little flexible in working with them but don't completely change you're M.O.
Also be warned of the "paying with cashier's check at the terminal" scam that's been around for quite a while. Usually overseas buyers. Car is long gone before you find out that the cashier's check is bogus! |

Many scams going on there, go to there forum and read about them. My wife has been watching embroidery machines, in the 3-10k $ range and most of them end auctions early and the auction is completely removed and you can't find it. They also e-mail and try to set up a sale by wire transfer, usually to Italy or Germany.
It looks like they hi-jack someones account for this period of about 2 days, since e-bay can't seem to start any investigation until 2-3 days, these people are long gone. Buyer / Seller beware!

When I bought my TTA on eBay, the seller actually wanted me to wire money to his bank. He gave me his bank name and the name on his account, and my bank called his bank and took care of it without me ever knowing his account#. Just an option, just make sure that the bank# he gives you is actually the bank and not some guys cell# thats posing as a bank.
Some buyers don't want to send a cashiers check because there can always be that "must have got lost in the mail" excuse, or have it sent certified and delivery confirmation, then there's no question.
