Thanks from Las Vegas

I would like to thank (in no particular order).
Everyone who showed up to spectate or race, without you the event cannot go on. Sam Davis for helping me out with what could have became a cluster at the hotel on Thursday. Jessie (good ideas to share for the event) and Cal for coming up and across the country. Cal for helping a lot of the racers, sorry I didn't get to talk with you in more detail..... but things were busy and it looked as if on more than one occasion when I had some free time you were just way to busy. Jack for smokin a head gasket in a brand new motor on the second pass (gotta look for the "D" when you see the tach nearing 5500 in second. Scott for taking my cross overpipe into the 10's. All the racers who had patiants with me in the staging lanes. Jon who left me in the staging lanes alone for five hours. Everyone who I asked for water and never got any. Mother nature for making this desert so hot with no humitity. All the people who stayed at the hotel and didn't hot rod thier cars in the camp ground . All the sponcers who helped with the race. Kev for the brilliant plaques. Everyone who donated their time or items. The track for having us. Shaun for seeing my humor in all my posts ...funny or not. Jack and Nick helping out with the parking situation and pointing people in the right direction if there was any confusion. John for driving a billion miles again this year to run the Opal. Mach III razors. All the guys from Hawaii, Canada and anywhere else further than fifteen miles away to show their support. All the 30 buick guys from here in Vegas that didn't make it either day . Paul for trying to get fity dollars off of me for a Gatoraid (can't I try to use the RICO act for something like that?) when I felt like I was about to die in the staging lanes from heat exhaustion.. Again, see above ...Jon. This years event again was great and I met a bunch of new people. Hope to see you all next year for more fun. I know that we were missing some people this year and we would love to see them come this time next year (Gene ). Anyways to wrap it up, Thanks Again to Everyone. If anyone has comments on what they would like to see done different or ideas about something totaly new can email me at: craig.karnatowski@palms.com or call me at 702-400-2746

If you think Craig saying "cute" was bad, you should've heard some of the statements made at the raffle table; you'd swear he was filming a porno. To keep myself from being banned, I won't post them!

Talking

AS usual the event was great and everybody that had anything to do with it did an outstanding job. My Vegas jinx is alive and well. My new stage 2 car developed a last minute problem that kept me from taking it. So I took my reliable T Type and got it dialed in just where I wanted it and then in the first round I showed the world how to destory the drive shaft.
Like I said I am Snake Bite at this event but I love it and aint going to give up till I win it. Thanks for the great time.

Thanks clayton I was surprised myself.I am going to look into upgrading in the drive shaft department. The car is not hurt but I will need a new drive shaft loop and a new exhaust system.

Yes thanks everyone for coming.....I didn t abandone Craig in the staging lanes.....but he did get to see what I ve been doing for a few years now... I actually got to see some racing....I saw John Schmidts opel ( and don t forget Bob the right hand man) run a 7.92, I did see Dutweiler run a 6.91 @207.9! I loved the transplant cars and truck....the toyo is cute and very well exicuted. One neat truck.

We do what we can to get this to happen but it doesn t happen with out some of these guys.....

Jason Crammer (race jase), Dic k Kerny , Bruce Toelle, Nick Micale, John Shcmidt and the BPG, Len Freeman, TA Performance, Mike Licht, Neal Steward Brutal 6 racing, Jack Cotton, John Spina Caspers, Skip Y Rons Emmette Lube, and a hole bunch of others too.....

Also give alittle credit to Jordan my daughter, Jennifer(wife), Hazel(craigs better half) and Alexa(craigs daughter) for putting up with us being on edge and busy....

Jordan and Alexa will both probably be tooling around in turbo cars in about 15 more years.

Now back to the regular program

Had a great time and finally got to meet a bunch of members. But ill tell you something, Those boys from canada(you know who you are) can and love to drink thier beer.
Also got to meet Bruce Toelle and watch 1BADGN sputter down the track a few times. It is one beautiful car, and awesome stock streched wheels on it. Got to help some people out. Made soem new friends (now i have more than 1 now). Spent some time with Cal Hartline, Great down to earth guy. HE will be getting my patronage from now on.
Well back to work and being cold.

Me too. I just got home today.(LONG swim) I had a "GREAT" time!! I think the Buick community is the best!!!! We were walking around taking a lot of pictures and asking a lot of questions and everyone we met was very friendly. The very first person we met was Jack(granatl). He came up to us and said "Glad you Hawaii guys made it here" and welcomed us to Vegas I wonder how he knew we were from Hawaii? It was great meeting everyone and matching faces with the names.(Sorry I don't remember everyone's name but I've got pictures ) And the picture taking with Bruce & all the guys. And of course all the Buick racing. I was very impressed with the Track.(sounded like it was very sticky when they were walking on it) Anyone know what 60ft times guys were running? Jack you guys did a "GREAT" job with the event. Thank you!!!

Aloha,
Guy
