Swapping Governors...

Hi All,

I've got a gov from an '85 MCSS (CQ tag), if I stick it in my 87 BRF tranny, will it raise the shift points? I'm looking for 5700 plus or minus a hundred and don't really want to modify (read: destroy) my stock BRF gov.

TIA!

listen up this governor will produce the same wot upshifts as the brf. if you dont want to risk hurting the governor drill a .055 hole thru the governor housing to slightly raise wot upshift points .drill righr thru into the area where the governor fits in out thru the other side.www.ckperformance.com

Chris, sorry about the delay, I've been out of town. Are you saying to drill a "through hole" across the aluminum housing the gov installs into?
