Is it too late?
I know my car has the dreaded 2-3 flare but I only have about 25k on the tranny and I want to do something to help it last longer(at WOT the 2-3 shift, the engine will rev some and then shift...feels like a flare) I was thinking getting the biggest tranny cooler I can find while also installing Performance Transmission's "valve body" modification kit as well as their TV boost assembly. Would this be a good idea and will it hurt my tranny anymore than it already is? Thanks!

The flare comes from the combination of line pressure, band condition/clearance & direct clutch condition/clearance.
If the transmission calibration is currently bone stock you might put off an overhaul for a little while by installing a good kit, servo & readjusting the band clearance but it's most likely headed south. On the plus side is you don't have much to loose in trying because in the course of your next rebuild, you won't loose your modifications. ![]()
