How streetable is a 3200 stall, 10" stall converter

Hey,

I have to admit I don't know a whole lot about aftermarket stall converters, but I really wanna pick up the 11 sec GN that's for sale here by "2SickSixes". I just don't want a garage/trailer queen car, I want a fast street car. The roll cage doesn't bother me (especially since I will be dragging it) but I'm just wondering if this setup will work for afternoon cruising and whatnot. It's got a stage 2 cam as well, but I'm not all that concerned with the idle. Thanks a lot!

You should have no problems with that stall on the street. I used a 3200-3400 Precision conv with no problems. I now run a BT 9-11 with 3800 stall. No problems what so ever and i drive mine on long trips once in a while.

Hi Spacelord,

I run a 10" 3200 stall LU conv in my wifes T with a TA 61 turbo and 009's and it's great on the street and great at the track (11.48).

Ya never know the difference IMO.

Hope that helps.

Hey guys, thanks a lot. The car I was looking at was sold before I could decide how to fund it, so I'm back to my "slow" GN with the stock stall. But I appreciate your help, good to know in the future!
