555 Boost Valve

Can these valves be purchased from transmission part stores.? or are they custom made by one of our vendors?

Yeah I just purchased the Psi reg system from PTS and mic'd the boost valve and its 555. Tho I found that the trans is on the verge of starting off in second with his entire setup so I put the stock rev boost in with his kit and all is well. Really firms up the 2-3

Hmm,
Interesting...
I posted on here a couple or three years ago about issues I had with the .570 boost valve having poor machining and too thin.

I guess maybe there were more issues with them than some would like to admit.

I haven't had issue with using the standard cheap .500 boost valves other than they need to be smoothed a little sometimes to be sure they work good hot.

We are making the .555 valves and they are produced on a screw machine which is the only choice for efficiently manufacturing small parts.Ihad a few hair pullers with the .571 valve assemblies cars showed up with at the shop.Jake, the diode is junk,FB is installing them in 350 .Not with good results from what it I have heard, the races are annealed ,turned re heat treated and ground.

Good to see you around Chris.

I was wondering how tough the diode was because they are the preferred deal in the AOD world. I did that AOD awhile back and it's in the car and running now behind the 347. Works great!
I put the diode drum in it, I was just curious, with the ratcheting action, you would think it would see greater wear.

I'll post a new post up here for all builders input about the pans.

Jake

towing without the driveshaft removed and the wheels on the ground will kill the diode in 10 miles in most cases.we use a super sprag from an e40d at that location.
