Shifter issues.

So I have a b&m shifter in my GN, probably seven years old now. It will shift the trans from p-r-n-4-3-2-1, but it will not go up 1-2-3-4-n-r-p. Does anybody have an idea of what I can do to fix this. It worked and hour ago.

Nick

first unhook the shifter cable from the trans, and see if the problem is in the shifter/cable or in the trans

I can shift it manually with the plate/arm that is on the side of the trans.

then just trace the shifter cable from the trans back to the shifter, make sure the cable inst in a binding, or just something stuck in the shifter mechanism

looks to be the cable.

The shifter pushes & pulls the cable, the cable will push the trans bracket, but not pull it.
