Lockup while racing...

What gear do you lock the converter in when drag racing?

And can it hurt to leave it locked for the run?

Thanks!

D.

You need a very good torque convertor to lock the convertor when racing. Most use 1 with a 5 disc plate lockup clutch like the Precision Industries Vigilante but there expensive. Single clutch disc lockup convertors aren't designed to be lock at WOT shifts.
