Changing from LOCKUP to NON LOCKUP

What needs to be done to change from a lock up to a non lockup convertor?? does the trans need to come out?? Is it something I can do myself ?? thanks ED

best i can remember you have to change a valve and spring in the pump,and the trans does come out.you can get a kit from a trans shop for this for like 30 dollars. you can do it your self if you have fair mechanic skills

The trans does need to come out for the new converter and o-ring check capsule removal.
As well as adding the non lock up valve as stated before. Once the trans is removed, you can do all of these things in 10-15 minutes.

Brian do you sell the non lock up valve ?and the o rings that I need ? If so I will order them from you and maybe you can walk me thru this better thanks, ED
