what are the pros and cons??

what's the pros and cons of having a manual lock up?

I liked mine that way. i did not lock it up drag racing in Fernley or Fallon.

pro.. locking the converter works
con ... don't lock it and be slower

ok are you talking about driving it around on the street ?? IF it's not locking up just driving around your gas mileage will go down

how long have u had the car? If you bought it in Reno, who did you get it from? I left there 2 years ago and was there for 17 years with mine.
you will pickup about 2 tenths and 2mph locking the converter in a race.

cool thanx grumpy thats what i needed to know.... but would u think its useless to have manual tcc lock up or just let it do it on its own?

ive had the car for 7 years or more i cant remember haha. i bought the car from my uncle.he bought in reno nv from scott motors back in 87 i am the 2nd owner, i bought the car for 9k with 50k miles on it. the interior is almost like it was when it was bought. the car has been repainted and they did an ok job. gonna get it re done once i have my engine fully built and a new tranny hahaha whenever that will b :-(
