Aftermarket shifter time. Want to get rid of stock console.

I have done numerous searching and have found alot of people installing their shifters while keeping the entire stock console. That's not what I want. I want to get rid of the console and install a shifter, preferably a ratchet. So basically I just want the entire shifter housing on the floor. Few things I want to make sure is that 1. it has an indicator light, reverse light feature, and it will fit flush on the floor. In pictures it looks like the bottoms of the housings are square, and the fact that the hump is sort of round, I wonder if installation isnt as easy? This is of course, assuming that getting rid of the stock console and just installing the B&M, HURST, or whatever I choose console is easier. Can anyone throw their opinions my way? I want to do little or NO hacking whatsoever and my car is mostly street driven. Thanks in advance for all the help guys!

P.S. I like the look of the megashifter and the Hurst v-matic 2. Let me know your thoughts.
