Manual downshift to 2nd gear is slow to go into gear
I have a CK stg1 trans that I just put in the 87 and Noticed that if I push the throttle and the car tries to downshift to 2nd it takes a second to downshift and acts like its slippin. So I was cruisin along 1/4 throttle and pulled the gear shifter back to 2nd (not to where the motor would overrev) and it goes into 2nd but takes 2-3 seconds so its something with dropping down to 2nd either TV kickdown or manual.
Downshift to D from OD is instant and from 2nd to 1st is as well. Just second is the problem. The car shifts fine to second from a dig at WOT just the kickdown and manually pulling it back to 2nd it takes longer than its supposed to. Feedback please. Left a message with Chris and have been calling the shop and he is either busy , goin out the door, etc.
