I have the same convertor. What did you expect? You gave up between 200 and 300 rpm by losing the lockup. More rpm = more gas

Yeah I wasnt going to post but more RPM=more gas Also if you try to drive easy with a loose convertor it might be worse. (had an old hot rod with 3500 stall TH350.

The performance increases over the stock type lockups are unsurpassed unless you want to buy a more expensive lock up unit or a 5 disc lock up which will really add a lot of $. Ive run the old Art Carr's with no problems ad they are proven performers. A few mpg doesnt bother me. Other mods will hurt fuel economy more than the converter itself.

The non lock vigilante list is $630. Not sure why the CPT one is so much more. I know the CPT one has a billet cover. Not sure if that is the big cost difference or not.
