will B&M Shifter for 700r4 work on a 200-4r

I have a B&M shifter i took out of my 89 camaro summit part # BMM-80694 or BMM-80692 dont remember but i think they both the same, anyway the car had a 700r4 in it i would like to put this in a car with a 200-4r summit dosnt list it as fitting a 200-4r but i would just assume since their both for 4 speed transmissions it would work. am i right about this ?
