TCC will not unlock on deacell

I got a PTE 37 chip and my torque converter locks up ok at about 60 MPH, but when running 70 to 80 mph , on the way down on de-acelleration, I got that buckleling thrashing feeling and the CONVERTER is still locked, similar to the clutch being engaged in fourth gear on a manual transmission and going to slow.

I solved this problem before on another car by putting in a relay that was powered by the 4th gear switch on the transmission, allowing the TCC only to be engaged in fourth gear.

Do i need a chip change , or can the TV cable be adjusted?

Sounds like the solenoid is bad. I've had one go bad in my TTA and did the same thing all the way down to about 10mph. Its an easy fix, drop the trans pan, and its 2 bolts and 2 wires to splice to install a new one.
