I have a Hughes 10" Non Lockup 3000 stall and wanted to send it back for a restall and Dave over there told me "no restall" unless I wanted to basically pay the price of a new one. I told him the hub was also cracked and he gave me a price to fix it that was higher than a new one. I sent it to El Paso to have a rebuilder down there at least fix the hub and he told me there were a couple bent fins and one that broke off and was lodging itself between the impellar and stator and causing me some problems. A-Tree in El Paso did an excellent job and the converter works better than when it was new. So now I am a bit cautious of Hughes when it comes to converters.
