torque convertor

just went to jays gn and got my gn diagnosed. i had a bad cam sensor and it was 180 deg. out. i was getting a bad stumble but anyways got a scanmaster "GREAT TOOL" and when i break boost it i get 4 # of boost at only 1456 rpm thats all it will stall. turns out i got a d6 convertor. any recomendations on stall i want to eventually go to a ta 49 or a te-44.and also what would it do for performance going bigger like a 3000 on a stock setup? thanks if you can help just want to do this once.
