you can safely lock a multi disk at WOT.....not so on a single disk
you need a switch if your chip/ecm doesn't provide wot lockup

the switch will allow you to acgtivate the lock up before the computer does.it is best to use a well plotted lock up strategy incorporated into the chip,as well as a switch to also ground the solenoid and command lock up at will .this will allow you to do some experimentation at the track to find additional tenths in your e.t..if you dont get the precision unit we can set you up with a very reliable single woven fibre disc lock up clutch that will be capable of holding all you throw at it.how much power are you making?

think he was asking about Precision converters? They advise against locking their single disk
anyone still using D5 isn't making enough power to matter, but you will still tear them up locking under wot

You're talking about locking a 12" converter vs. a 9.5" converter with MUCH less surface area. Those locking their 12 inchers are playing with fire. Those who try and lock a 9.5 incher may do it once (or maybe not...).

Im testing a 9.5" single disc converter now(different manufacture)
so far its been 134 mph thru the traps in a full weight GN locking the converter at all different gears and rpms and so far not a bit of trouble (watching rpm drop on f.a.s.t. datalogs) after a few combo changes ..I'll be beating on it even more full weight 109 block ....140 mph ?? who knows
