Soft 1-2 shift under hard acceleration and hard delayrd shift at low cruise speeds ??

I have a rebuilt tranny for a year now. It has always had a soft and early 1-2 shift under acceleration from say a 10 mph roll but when cruising at low speed the tranny has a hard 1-2 snap shift. It is opposite fom what I want. It does have a Super Servo and Alto band.
From a dead stop the 1-2 shift point at wot is 5200 rpm but still does not snap. All other shifts are good firm quick shifts at wot like they should.
Could someone maybe explain what may cause this and how I can correct if there is a simple solution.
I do have correct BRF VB and gov. VB has a Transgo kit in it.
Thanks
Tim

I'm having the exact same problem. Tranny experts, where are you?

If you can hook a press. guage up check your press. on accel. you may have a drop in press. as the oil goes to the back of the pan.

I was just reading something about this and can't remember the site. The problem could be the opening in the filter is on the top and under hard acceleration, the pump is sucking air and the pressure dropping significantly. I have the Billet servo and the shifts didn't get firm until I added an additional quart to temporarily solve this problem. The best solution is the deep pan and 700 R4 filter with the opening at the bottom.

It is a design that was shorted sited having the opening on the top of the filter, but it can be easily corrected. I just changed the TCC solenoid and what a mess without a drain plug. All of the foreign cars I have worked on(Mercedes Benz Tech for 2 years) had a damn drain plug.

Mine is doing the same thing. I have adjusted on the TV cable and it still shifts out oddly. My next move is going to be a fluid and filter change and if that doesn't help I think a trip to the tranny shop may be in order. It shifts out ok under normal acceleration and I can spool it up for 5psi launch and it comes out of the hole hard, but when it shifts to second it seems like the tranny freaks out.

I have a deep pan and 700r filter installed but it did not change a thing when I changed from stock pan set up. I wonder if a CK shift kit will solve this problem?
