Trans Brake or Break?
I need some education on the types available for the 200 and what other parts are needed to make the 200 live, along with the other driveline parts on a low 10 second car. Thanks.
Is there consensus on whether this is a good idea on a 200 and which Brake is the best? |

A 200 at lo 10's is a doable deal.. just plan on spending "several k" to make it live.. PTS and others have brakes and the "good parts" to make it live.. [Billet stuff] Other items: A pr of aftermkt axles and c-clip eliminators is good. [Eliminators are required for all cars w/ slicks] A good driveshaft, and the mandatory D/S loop. An approved rollbar, once you go quicker than 11.99.. [Once you get to lo 10's there's a chance you will exceed the 135mph rule, and will have to have a cage, even tho your et is still slower than the 9.99 threshold.] Low 10's?? I use a T-400 that's mostly a stock trans w/ a brake. Have never had a problem w/ it. ![]() Last edited by Chuck Leeper : February 7th, 2004 at 09:33 AM. |
