1-2 Shift Point
HOW DO I LOWER MY 1-2 SHIFT POINT ONLY, WITHOUT ADJUSTING TV OR MODIFYING GOVERNOR. BY ABOUT 200 RPM.

I know how I did it, cut 1/2 ring off the the 1-2 shift spring. I also would like to know what the REAL trans builders think.

it depends on at what throttle angle you / position you want it lowered at.

change 1/2 shift valve spring tension by installing a spring with the same working height and less tension.it could be that there is a leak at the shift tv valve sleeve due to wear and this is causing a slight increase in wot 1/2 shift rpm.you can change the sleeve.

OH I ALMOST FORGOT, I INSTALLED THE TRANSGO REPROGRAMING KIT WHICH SAYS FOR ME TO PLUG THE F HOLE IN SEPARATOR PLATE, I DON'T KNOW WHICH WHOLE THIS IS OR IT'S PURPOSE. DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY PROBLEMS BUT WOULD LIKE TO FIRM UP MY 2-3 SHIFT A LITTLE MORE IS THE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO FOR THAT?
