Well I went 12.10 at 111.5 then popped the head gasket, which was a tuning error on my part. I made a booboo that cost me down time and a set of HG's

Low to Mid 13's max on pump gas and a 93 Chip. Maybe a 12.99 with a lot of knock on the 2-3 shift.

Easy 11's with Alchy.

However before my mishap I am thoughly convinced I could've pushed it into the 11's easily. I figured since the HG popped I would port and polish the heads and intake. I jumped from the 44 o a 6152, and new converter. I did go to the track this year already, but the converter was to loose and I couldn't mph the car. Times were alright, but no mph. Just fell apart on the big end. I have not been back since restalling the converter. But good luck to you!!

Was the 11.69 with or with out the high performance Rubber Maid air in duction ?

I was confused, I remember you telling me the story about your first performance mods you ever made to a Turbo Buick, and it sounded similar to the ones you stated above.

Maybe 17-18 with a 93 chip. The problem with pump gas and a 93 chip is timing will be cut way back in 3rd and boost maybe, too, so mph won't be all that hot.

Using a old school, high timing chip might actually be faster at the track than a 93 street chip, but you'll run the risk of high knock on the 2-3 shift.

My car ran a best of 11.53@118 with a TA49 @ 23 psi of boost, race chip/race gas.

At 18 psi with a race chip and a race gas mix it would run mid low 12's

On pump gas, with a street chip, it runs low 13's, unless I allow knock on the 2-3 shift, but eventually, that can bite you, so I don't recommend that anyone try to run 12's with a stock motor on straight pump gas, with ANY turbo.

That is basically the same set up I have, see signature. I've owned my car for about 3 months and ran a 12.60 @ 110 with Nitto drag radials, 19lbs. of boost and a 93 turbotweak chip with not much traction out of the hole. I now have a set of 26/10/15 mt drags that I'll be trying in a few weeks. The previous owner of my car ran a 12.30 with 20 lbs. of boost and slicks. Only difference in my setup is the front mount. With some good gas and a race chip I should see a low 12 to high 11 pass.

High 1.6 60 fts should get you into the 11's, but your Mph is low for 25 psi of boost and a te44 with alchy.

Since you are using 28" tires, too loose a converter or not locking it up probably isn't the problem. If your RPM's are less than 5000 at 110 mph, you may not have enough timing in the chip in 3rd.

30# injectors and a TE44 are a blown head gasket waiting to happen. I've seen this happen 3 times to guys I've raced with.
