A friend of mine took his car(9.40 67 Camaro) to KCIR last weekend and he told me that there was a turbo Buick there running 9.20's and he was impressed. He said the car had tags that said Six Cyl or something similar. Just curious who it was. Thanks

    Thanks, that is the one!

The city council of KC is forcing KCIR out of business. Its a pretty shady deal with the city council threatening the track behind the scenes and then denying that they are forcing the track out in public. It appears that US Sen. Claire Mccaskill may be involved also since she owns land next to the track and wants to develop it into a housing area.

Yes, the track is closing. It's believed to be more than just Claire McCaskill though....her co hort Christine Kemper is allegedly the one who started complaining the most after she moved in after the track had been operating for some time. Kemper, so they say, to make a long story short, tried getting the track shut down herself, but failed, yet she still managed to cost the track a lot of money. Other residents who moved in after the track opened also complained to city hall about the noise.

Then add in the 5th city council woman Cindy Circo who basically lied to the mayor Sly James who bought the whole deal hook line and sinker, and didn't want to do anything other than go along with what they said and not look into what was really going on/help the people....it's a big political mess that was all in it for the sake of lining a few politicians pockets with money while running a well profitable business out. They claim they want to build a park, funny thing is now the city suddenly has no money to build said park. But stay tuned...next they'll be bitching about everyone street racing up and down their streets.

Anyways, tomorrow will be the very last day for racing. So I hear it's a free event.

I am going to "try" to make it out...haven't been feeling good but I also know it's the last time ever. Though I'm sure the place will be packed.
