STAGE 2 and other parts for sale - TurboBuicks.com I have had some pm's regarding the bore size. These blocks can be bored many times over as long as the castings are thick enough. Duttweiler is making over 2000hp on the same block with a 4.090 bore. My block is a later casting and is very thick. With the current bore of 4.060 the thinnest cylinder measurement is still .233 (4.060-3.960= .100/2+3.960= .233) (see sonic sheet in pics). The buick power source manual recommends a minimum of .180 for heavy duty use. Using that as a guideline you could safely bore this block to 4.166! I much rather buy a complete running car but if the block doesn't sell in the next little while I will put It together and sit on it until a good race ready roller becomes available. bird is online now Report Post Edit/Delete Message
