Well, you see these threads posted up with everyone showing wheels, or T Types, or Non-Buick cars, or of themselves, etc. Lets see some Stage II pics. Whether you want to show off your motor on a stand, motor in your car, a high dollar intake or dry sump setup, etc, LET'S SEE THEM! I just got my first stage motor and am still in the process of collecting parts and figuring out the setup, but I will throw a pic or two in here as well.
Got mine in 2000. Intake is gone (to much bling for me). Was going in a TTA BUT decided not to mess with a new car.
Go FAST!!!! Still working on that plan, collecting parts, etc. Would love to tickle low 10's, high 9's in "mostly" street trim. Will be running Stage 2 heads, so I see the AC box departing my car in the near future. Man, this is the way to start off the morning, checking this post and seeing man-car-porn! Yowza, those motors and setups look insane! Good stuff guys! Also, if you want to elaborate on what makes them go, feel free. I am curious whether guys are running on/off center, what crank/stroke, rod manufacturer and length, piston manufacturer, bore size, oiling mods, cam manufacturer and details, turbo size (or turbo(S) size for some of you! ), transmission (200 or 400 or glide), stall converter, etc. New to the Stage motors so curious as to what you all built, what mods to fueling systems, whether you are running FAST, what chassis mods to make them stick, etc. Or, you can just post those sexy beast pics, I am good either way! Peter, email coming your way, things have been busy!
Oh my goodness... If I had just typed the things that came into my head when I saw that pic I probably would be banned...!!!!!! Holy smokes, that is nuts! Can't believe I haven't seen that before Shane. Thanks for posting up!
Check out this thread, it is loaded throughout with pics and details... http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/ge...3621-sometimes-you-just-gotta-start-over.html Car got wrecked but I still have everything. Just a little short of being ready to re-assemble it one day...
Richie, Wow glad to see you back with a v6!! Is that going in the gray car?? Hope to see you at the TB Nationals next spring. Mike
Dang Richie, that is super sexy! You have any more pics of how it was setup in the car? New TA block looks great too! Got the cover about 10 minutes ago from the brown truck. Thanks brother!
This is a DLS built Stage 2 that was owned by Dennis "Pro Trac Racing". If I remember correctly, it's a stock stroke 4.1 (252 ci) with TA heads, solid roller, etc. Ran 8.90's in the 150's with a little 47/80 turbo in a 3200+lb Mustang GT. It was the blue one that went on the bumper in Bowling Green a few years back.
