    Bought a used powerlogger and scanmaster 2.2 upgrade. Can anyone give me some information on the additional features that come up on the scanmaster screen as you toggle through the options? I do not have a wideband O2 on my car.

    thanks!

    Well for starters, it hooks directly to the powerlogger analog block. This speeds up data display by a LOT! It also gains the ability to display your wideband air fuel ratio right on the scanmaster in place of the O2's. It can also display boost, and MAP on the scanmaster, assuming all this stuff is hooked up to the powerlogger.

    Yes - I hooked up the scanmaster and the map lead from the alky kit to the powerlogger. I know there are several more possibilities that come up when I toggle thru the scanmaster but I don't know what they all stand for. What is the difference between manifold absolute pressure and boost?

    basicly the way it is displayed map is 0-5 v
    boost is converted to psi and in vacuum

    map is displayed metric .. kpa kilopascal
    100kpa =1 atmosphere (also = 1 BAR)
    so key on engine off kpa=100 or 0 boost as its reading one atmosphere
    at boost 300kpa is `~29psi

    0psi on a 3bar map should be 1.6v at sea level
    5v would be ~29psi boost 3.2=15psi boost

    besides the 5 frames per second regardless of chip the 2.2 adds air fuel ratio if using wideband to the first display mode with knock retard degress (selectable with a laptop to display af or O2) , bst -boost (display selectable with laptop), egt -exhaust gas temp when equipped with sensor and converter (display selectable with laptop)
    and like the fast updat chips it will display PW- injector pulse width and SPk- spark timing,

    I have an autometer EGT gauge - is there a way to feed this signal into the scanmaster/powerlogger?

    i doubt you could just tap the autometer sensor
    you need to have a Kprobe and an egt amplifier 0-5v output , fullthrottle used to sell them but they are gone now, theres a thread with a link to an amplifier that will work
