    Yeah, this sucks. I'm glad he got to see the Beastie's inducted into the Rock'n Roll hall of fame before he passed. It made me go out driving with License to Ill in the CD player. Thanks for the memories! RIP MCA.

    A "brass monkey" is actually a brass plate to hold the old cannon balls on the deck of a ship.:D It has indentations to hold the balls in place when they were stacked next to the cannon. When it got cold enough the brass would contract and the cannon balls would get loose on deck. That's where the expression "cold enough for a brass monkey to loose his balls" came from.;)

    I don't have a "Castle in Brooklyn where I dwell" but I'm pretty sure they were talking about alcoholic beverages not cannon ball holders. ;)
