If you were using a SNELL 2000 rated helmet, NHRA will not accept them next year.

When you are making your Christmas list, you might include a new brain-bucket!!

Here is what the NHRA Quick ref chart says about helmets:

    Snell 2000 expires 1/1/2012
    SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A and 41.2A expires 1/1/2014
    SFI 24.1/2005, 31.1/2005, 41.1/2005, SNELL 2005 expires1/1/2017
    SNELL 2010 expires 2022

What if the build date is 01 but it's snell2000, is it still out of date?

I would say if it's a Snell 2000 then it will expire as Dave said.

Can we still get use "m" rated or is "sa" required? I know sa has the fire retardant lining but other than that the safety is the same.

    Mine arrived today!

A G Force from SafeRacer.com, not a bad deal, either.
