By default, if you are not a member of staff, I have removed the political forum from view. If you want to re-enable it, you will need to go to your preferences and tick the box marked Political Forum. This will add a secondary usergroup to your account and give you the ability to see the political forum. Please note that this job only runs once an hour so if you tick it at 12:01, you will have to wait until 1:00 for the board to process your request. Hopefully this makes everyone happy.
Again it is still there... Just doesn't come up automatically in new posts! You can choose it to do so in your user cp!
I fixed the posting permissions for those of you having trouble. Xenforo is the opposite of VB for permission. With VB, yes + no = yes. With XF, yes + no = no. Took me a minute and some help from the developer to figure that out.
what's the big deal about hiding that section? no one ever forced anyone to click on the link that takes you there..
When checking new posts it was very annoying to have to sift through all the PF bs to find threads about Turbo Buicks.

Boo! I have had the pleasure of not seeing the Political Section since opting out in the Preferances but now it's back and new posts are showing up in the "new posts" again even though I have not checked "Yes". Jay, when you get a chance can you look into this?
