older smc aky controller question

    ok so im having problems with the "spray on" yellow light on the controller and the low alcohol red light under the spray on light the submersible pump works and the test button also works i took the line off and test it and its squirting water/alky but the spray on doesnt light up when the pump is on i got scared a while ago when i gave her a WOT down the street 15psi and still no alky wtf?? after i realized the pump was working it was just the lights on the controller any ideas i checked the fuse on top its good all connections look good grounds look good boost line good?

    I've had the same kit for years, but no problems yet. Do you have a way to hook up regulated compressed air to it? Could try applying like 10-15 psi. That would allow you to repeatedly test it without risking the car. Just a thought. Maybe the LED just went bad?

    You can take the screws out and peek in there to see if the LED has become "unsoldered".

    Just follow the leads of the yellow LED once the cover is off.

    Be careful of course but it's usually not hard to trace those leads.

    There is a hobbs style switch at the tank if you have the older square bottle type. Disconnect the two wires at that switch and touch them together, if the light comes on, time for a new hobbs switch which you can get at Napa. Sorry for the late delay, don't make it to alky section much and let us know what you find out.
