    If the rear gears havn't been changed, check your rpo codes on the drivers door to find out what gears you have.
    SS's all got the performance gears (323's )but 273's were standard on the z/28, + 323's were optional. If you still have the 273's a gear change will really wake it up.
    gu2=273's
    gu5=323's
    what yr is the car,if it is earlier then 2001 you have the egr style intake.
    A change to the 01-02 intake gives you a much better flowing ls6 type intake.
    These motors also really respond to a cam change , a cam and looser converter,to go with the nitrous + free flowing exhaust would make it a beast.
    And while it's apart for the cam,it's a perfect time change the intake if you have the earlier style.

    yes the gears have been changed to 373s and a ta perf cover but the intake looks stock.. has a 100 wet shot progressive converter feels stockish, has a dual exhaust

    the car feels very quick

    They are pretty quick, mine is basically stock,just a cat back(still just a single muffler with dual exits)which i don't think really added much if any power and just a slp lid added,and it ran 13.0 at 105 on street tires with a woman at the wheel,and backed it up with a bunch of 13.1's + 2's. The time slips came with the car.
    Since then it was dyno tuned,+ set up so that when left in drive it will shift at 5800, And now it has drag radials so i think it's got some high 12's in it.
    Previous owner said it made 316 at the wheels. It launches incredibly hard on the street with the dr's,I'd like to see what a looser converter would to for it.
    These cars are great bang for the buck, got this for $7000 with 53k miles.
    Where yours has the gears,headers ,duals + nitrous,i would bet it's a high 11 sec car on the juice (with traction)and mid to high 12's without the juice.A cam + converter would make that thing a beast.
    The air boxes on these cars are also restrictive,your car has alot of mods already,so its probably already been done but if not,then the slp lid + the air box mods can free up some power.

    i do have the slp lid, also my rev limiter is at 6200-6300 he did mention to me that the rev limiter is a bit higher than most of his buddy's camaro's, this car has been in the 7s in the 1/8th @ 90+ mph..he had a few slips, he told me if i wanted to run 10's just step up to a 150 shot and put a better converter on it and he promised it'll run 10's, might call him later to see if it has a cam i forgot if he mentioned it or not.. ill take some pics of it..

    back in '01 i bought a left over 2000 z28, before it had 3k miles on it had an air lid (make unknown) slp TOL exhaust off of my 93z, vigilante 2800 & 3.42 gears (stock was 2.73) & an ed wright mail order tune. in good weather it would run 12.4 at 109., was called a liar many times especially by mustangs that got the beat down...sure do miss it.
