This is what I have done so far, if anyone's interested I'll keep posting updates. It's moving slower than xmas because my kids keep soaking up my time, I've changed jobs twice, we have a lake place that we can't stay away from, and I'm pretty much a lazy ass when I do have free time.

This is what I had last fall. Kip built this engine in 1999 and I have beat the hell out of it with bad tunes, and stuck wastegates. But, it hasn't been apart and still ran great, just kinda outdated. Sold it almost complete.

Picked this up from Don Cruz in March:

    With the high boost wires:

Turbo in the pics is a new 6776 I bought a few years ago, sold that recently.

Used stainless bolts on everything, saved a bunch of change on the header studs by getting them thru one of my work connections.

It's a wide journal stroker, roller cam, girdled, 14 bolt GN1s ported by champion, GN1 throttle body, Champion intake, ATR headers coated black by Aesthetic Finishers in Ohio.

RCI 15 gallon fuel cell, Weldon pump, Trick Flow filter, Weldon controller:

Heater box came out in about 175 pieces, after gently trying to remove it, the big ass hammer came out. Sanded off all the factory goop from the firewall and painted it with Eastwood underhood black. Used a TR custom parts blockoff plate and it fit like a glove.

G-body manual brake kit with Mopar master cylinder from PA racing.

F-body radiator, Gbody parts badass stainless radiator cover, Spohn front suspension parts.

Jeep steering shaft, new S10 manual steering box from Advance auto parts. Painted the frame with Eastwood extreme chassis black satin.

Stock fan worked fine with this setup

Aerospace brakes from Hartline, Gbodyparts tubular lowers, Spohn uppers. Started with the Gbodyparts uppers, but there is no provision for limiters.

Afco double adjustable shocks, picked up for half price after a buddy bought them for his 68 Camaro and didn't like them. Had 2 passes on them.

Nice work! Why did you go 67 instead of a 71? Is that the turbo limit in the 8.5 limited class down there? Up here they allow 76's

I'm gonna take the 100 pound weight break in TSM with the 67. The local 8.5 rules are 66 on a V8, no rules for the V6. The HP rating is very close between the 67 and 71.

It's a GN1 innercooler I already had. That and the factory ignition will be upgraded before race season.

Why did you decide on manual brakes vs the vacuum setup? It definately looks cleaner. Also , with those aerospace brakes, I 've read you have to cut the spindle? Where and how much cutting is involved with that?

I never like the vacuum brakes when staging the car, but mostly I was trying to clean the engine compartment. There is a small amount of cutting, you can download the pdf file with the instructions with pictures. You have to cut off the ear the factory caliper mounts on and tap some existing holes, takes a little grinding to get the caliper plate to lay flat as well, I used a die grinder with a roll-lock pad to make sure I didn't take too much off.

Didn't like the poly tubing on the wastegate solenoids, re-plumbed it in stainless tubing last night.

Used some leftover hose and fittings to make a turbo oil drainback setup and scored some 45mm stainless set screws for mounting the downpipe to the turbo.
