Was told this would be a better place to post other than General tech

Ok so i have been trying to fix my fuel line and have come to the realization. i want to just replace them with braided race lines. My question is is there a certain size diameter i should get. And does anyone know any good companies...... oh! and new line clamps would be nice too.

A -8 feed and -6 return would be plenty for you. Are you planning on running E85? If so you will need this type of hose http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FCC0620/ If you dont plan on running E85 just regular SS braided line will work

I suggested GNvirgin look here first to see what guys are doing to upgrade their fuel lines, with the main difference being not needing PFTE (teflon) lined hose. There are many places that sell PFTE hose @ $3.50/ ft for -8 & -6 , so the price isn't that much more plus the car could be switched to E85 and fuel lines would not be an issue. Check "siliconeintakes.com" or "frozenboost.com" for just a couple of places to get SS braided PFTE hose & fittings, there are lots more. One more thing , -8 = 8/16" =1/2" hose ....-6 = 6/16" = 3/8" hose , the dash(-) number = how many 16ths of a inch the hose size is.

thanks for clearing that up... i had no i dea what the numbers meant. I may just go with the line with teflon and is made for E85 save myself some heartache. Now as for mounting it can i put it the same place the stock line is...because that is dangerously close to the exhaust manifold. thats why I need to change them cause the fuel was spraying all over the hot manifold.

PFTE (teflon) lines are good for any fuel, as for where to run lines I have not done this yet so maybe someone else will chime in. You could sleeve it with a hi temp covering where needed during the install .

Buy the biggest and best lines you can afford. Bigger IS better!
